Mr. Yan graduated from KoGuan Law School, Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2014 and began practicing law in 2015.

His principal practice areas include foreign investment, labor and employment, construction and real estate, matrimonial and family law, private equity and venture capital, and dispute resolution.

(1) [Foreign Investment] Advised a foreign-invested enterprise on establishing its regional headquarters in Shanghai; advised China's first wholly foreign-owned microfinance company on its establishment; and advised another foreign-invested enterprise on establishing a human resources intermediary in Shanghai.

(2) [Labor and Employment] Advised China subsidiaries of Fortune Global 500 companies, including Sanyo and Panasonic, and other prominent companies, including Shanghai International Port Group, on collective workforce reductions and liquidation; represented employers and individuals in hundreds of labor arbitrations and court proceedings.

(3) [Real Estate and Construction] Provided dispute resolution services for construction and real estate matters to Greenland Group's Real Estate Division II, including Shanghai Greenland Xinlongji, Shanghai Greenland Hengshen, Shanghai Fengxiang Industrial, Shanghai Greenland Fengcheng, Shanghai Lianyang Shijia, Shanghai Greenland Longxiang, Shanghai Greenland Songhao, Shanghai Greenland Songjiang, and Shanghai Greenland Zhaoxiang; also advised Howards Technology on construction and real estate disputes.

(4) [Dispute Resolution] Provided dispute resolution services to Deppon Logistics; handled financial litigation for a microfinance company affiliated with Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation; and advised domestic and foreign-invested companies and individuals, including Japan-based Dexerials and Kubota, Korea-based Samwon Data, and Yangtze River Hi-Tech Investment.

(5) [General Corporate Counsel] Served as ongoing legal counsel to Japanese-invested companies including Oji Paper, Isuzu Motors, Sanyo, Panasonic, Itochu, Sumitomo Seika Chemicals, Mitsui-Soko, Hanwa, Tokyu Corporation, Tokyu Land Corporation, Kadokawa, Ohta Animation, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, Promise Microfinance, Kubota Agricultural Machinery, Honda Motor, Nakagawa Special Steel, and Takiron.

(6) [Private Equity and Venture Capital] Advised multiple domestic technology and innovation companies on investment and financing matters.
