SG & CO PRC LAWYERS (“SG & CO”) was founded in 2010 by merging several law firms. The first director of SG & CO was late professor Su Huiyu, an outstanding senior jurist in China.
Inclusive and trustworthy, SG & CO was set up based on the rich culture of Shanghai. At its outset, it met the city’s need for legal services as it was building itself into an international financial and shipping center. With an open and inclusive mind, SG & CO has been sparing no effort to attract, develop and retain professional talents. As we strive to gain a competitive edge in providing legal services in financial industry, we always work to expand the scope of business. SG & CO has established a sound competitive edge and impressive brand influence in a variety of professional fields, ranging from the capital market, equity investment, corporate and M&A, through bankruptcy reorganization, real estate and construction engineering, international trade, shipping and maritime, to tax law, labor law, and civil/commercial legal action and arbitration. Through division of specialties and great teamwork among professional lawyers, SG & CO can offer highly efficient, quality, and comprehensive legal services to clients from each and every professional background.
In our first ten years, SG & CO has always embraced new challenges and kept moving forward. Based in the Yangtze River Delta, SG has grown from its initial scale of 50 lawyers into a major comprehensive law firm with more than 40 partners, over 200 employees, and over 100 million yuan in revenue. We have also established branches in cities such as Tianjin, Shaoxing and Suzhou. Thus far, we have been awarded many honorary titles, such as “2011-2015 Top Ten Law Firms in Shanghai” and “Advanced Group” in the Justice Administration System of Shanghai. We were listed in Chambers and Partners’ “Asia-Pacific Guide”. Several of SG & CO’s departments also enjoy market-leading reputations.
At SG & CO, we will devote ourselves to expanding our practice areas in China and beyond in the upcoming decade. We will continue to develop our international strategic layout so as to explore new ventures, new opportunities and new challenges.
