Wei was born in Wuhu city, Anhui Province. Wei graduated from the Chinese Language and Literature College of Huainan Normal College in Anhui Province in 1999, and then graduated from the Chinese Language Department of Anhui Normal University after being admitted via self-study examination. In 2000, Wei began serving in the army for two years in the 92129 Force of the North Sea Fleet’s Qingdao base. After retiring from the army in 2002, Wei served as a middle school Chinese teacher in Wuhu County, Anhui Province for several years. In 2007, Wei participated in and passed the National Judicial Examination. From April 2008 to September 2009, Wei worked as an apprentice lawyer and fully-fledged lawyer at Shanghai Wugenyuan Law Firm. From September 2009 to November 2011, Wei worked as a lawyer in Shanghai Shanghua Law Firm. In November 2011, Wei established the Shanghai Changce Law Firm. From November 2001 to October 2018, Wei served as a partner, director and full-time lawyer of Shanghai Changce Law Firm. In October 2018, Wei led a team to leave Shanghai Changce Law Firm for SG & CO PRC LAWYERS. Wei is currently a partner and full-time lawyer of SG & CO PRC LAWYERS.
During the past ten years of practice, Wei handled more than 1,000 property insurance cases, and over 3,000 financial leasing cases. Wei has also served as the legal counsel for several notable financial leasing companies in China.
