In 2008, Tim Rong began practicing at Shanghai Huali Law Firm (merged and established as SG & CO PRC LAWYERS in 2010), and has long been committed to legal businesses in the financial and capital markets, such as securities issuance, fund establishment and product issuance, investment mergers & acquisitions and dispute resolution in related fields.

Tim Rong has provided legal services for companies in areas such as Xuzhou and Weihai with overseas debts (in USD). He has contributed to projects such as the IPO of Changzhou Shenli Motor Corp., Ltd.; the establishment of GF-Persistent Overseas Investment Fund Management (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.; QDLP qualification applications/products; the establishment of the Xinchuang infrastructure industry investment fund. He has been responsible for providing legal services on a number of asset securitization projects such as the first, fourth and sixth securitization phases of Jianyuan’s personal housing mortgage loan in 2019 and the personal car loan asset securitization of the second phase of Rongteng in 2019. 

He has long served as the perennial legal counsel of Shanghai Junhe Group Co., Ltd. (listed in the Top 500 private enterprises), China Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd., Jinchuan Maike Metal Resources Co., Ltd. and other central enterprises, state-owned enterprises and large private enterprises. 

Furthermore, he has extensive litigation and arbitration experience dealing with disputes around securities, funds, trusts, asset management and other issues. In 2017, Tim won the “Best Legal Adviser Award” of the “Financial Risk Management Jie Fu Award”.
