Lawrence Lu has been honored as the "CCTV 2016 Protector of the Rule of Law," a title sponsored by the National Law Dissemination Office, the Ministry of Justice, and CCTV, and strongly supported by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and the Central Political and Legal Affairs Commission of the Communist Party of China. He also won the title of "National Upward Kind-Hearted Youth," selected by the Central Committee of the Communist Young League. He was the first Shanghai lawyer to receive these honors. 

As the head of the industry association and the lawyers' Party organization, Lawrence insists on carrying out and promoting legal charity activities and voluntary legal services. He also closely links his public welfare volunteer activities to his ethos focusing on "Party and Youth League building", "team building", "industry building" and "legal system development. He leads huge numbers of Party / Youth League members and young lawyers to promote "positive energy" within the legal industry and has gained praise in and out of office. With strong support from all walks of life, Lawrence has built the first youth lawyer volunteer team in Shanghai to provide legal support for all kinds of disadvantaged groups such as autistic families, the disabled, the lonely elderly and other relevant social welfare organizations in Shanghai. The spirit of the "rule of law" is filtered through his public welfare undertakings. 

Moreover, Lawrence actively participates in the administration and discussion of state affairs and fulfills his social responsibilities. During his tenure as an NPC representative, He has put forward several high-quality written suggestions to actively contribute to social and economic development. In addition, in terms of the law firm’s management and business affairs, he has taken a strong political stance, working rigorously and pragmatically, caring for the growth of young lawyers, and leading the team to participate in a series of asset securitization projects for CCB (China Construction Bank), China Aircraft Leasing Group Holdings Limited (CALC), Shanghai Provident Fund Loan, Alibaba, JD Finance, and so on. Considered as a leader of the industry, Lu is committed to standardizing and promoting financial innovation by virtue of legal services.
