Attorney Li Shuqin serves as the Director of the Labor and Employment Legal Research Committee at SG&CO Lawyers.

With 25 years of practice since her admission to the bar, Attorney Li has earned the long-term trust of over a hundred clients, including Fortune Global 500 companies such as Mitsubishi Electric, Panasonic Electric Works, Sanyo, and Oji Paper, owing to her profound legal expertise, meticulous work ethic, and first-class service spirit.

  • Provided comprehensive legal services for the establishment, operation, capital increase, real estate matters, liquidation, and legal succession resulting from shareholder liquidation of multiple subsidiaries in China of a Fortune Global 500 company.

  • Provided comprehensive legal services for the largest Japanese-invested project in China to date, covering military land, triangular land, sea area use rights, wharf use rights, factory and wharf construction, capital increase, and environmental protection.

  • Provided comprehensive legal services for joint venture projects, merger and acquisition projects, capital increase projects, loan projects, regional headquarters establishment projects, and equity transfer projects in China for over 200 well-known Japanese enterprises, including Fortune Global 500 companies.

  • Conducted legal due diligence, system compliance reviews, and contract reviews for over 200 well-known Japanese enterprises (including Fortune Global 500 companies), and issued investigation reports and legal opinions.

  • Provided comprehensive legal services for the dissolution, liquidation, merger by absorption, spin-off, and equity transfer of local legal entities of over 100 enterprises (including Fortune Global 500 companies), with workforce sizes ranging from dozens to three to four thousand employees. Tailored group employee relocation plans, led on-site negotiations, and resolved difficulties in client divestitures without leaving any subsequent liabilities.

  • As early as 2005, provided comprehensive legal services for a foreign-invested enterprise to establish a wholly-owned subsidiary in Hong Kong, accumulating early experience in "going global" matters.

  • From 2015 to 2016, acted as the representative of a Fortune Global 500 company's local legal entity in responding to group labor arbitrations filed by 146, 34, and 29 employees respectively, as well as the subsequent first-instance civil trials and appeals, achieving complete victories and safeguarding the foreign client's legitimate rights and interests.

  • In 2018, acted as the representative for 24 migrant workers in a labor arbitration against their former employer, and through the first-instance civil proceedings, successfully secured property rights and interests for the migrant workers.

  • Represented multiple foreign companies or foreign-invested enterprises as plaintiffs in lawsuits against Chinese debtors, assisting them in recovering substantial claims, thereby earning the praise and trust of numerous clients.

  • At the outset of her practice, handled multiple criminal cases. Successfully defended a former public security section chief and several individuals accused of murder, achieving mitigated or reduced penalties. Also represented the relatives of victims in criminal cases, securing civil compensation on their behalf.
